"I paint flowers so they will not die." - Frida Kahlo

It all started with making a painting of my wedding bouquet for my mom as a Mother's Day gift. She's the one who made all of the floral arrangements for our wedding. While I have the dried bouquet sitting on my kitchen table, it's just not the same because it's lost all of the volume and color that it once had. But the painting doesn't fade and it holds onto the whimsical and magical feeling of the bouquet in a way that a photograph never could.

Since then, I’ve enjoyed painting a wide variety of custom work for all sorts of clients. Some of my favorites have included bridal bouquets for florists or brides. But I’ve also really enjoyed working on custom recipe paintings of special family recipes for gifts. And I’ve created some embroidery designs for The Root Collective, as well as collaborated with The Sparrow Studio to create unique prints and cards of Rwandan flowers, and I love working with invitation designers to help them create the perfect custom look for their client.

If you have an idea for a custom piece that you’d like to see in your home or give as a gift, please fill out the form below with as much detail of your project as you can think of. I’ll get back to you shortly to discuss your project and give you a custom quote.
